The Timmerman squadron has arranged for Civil Air Patrol to get in FREE as well, sort of.  We will be aiding in the recruiting booth, so you will get admission Free.

Good day all.   It seems like the summer is half over and everyone has a lot of activities planned.  An invitation to attend State Fair Park on August 14 is being extended to all you and your cadets. TImmerman has attended this event for a number of years and all enjoyed the time.  Our goal is to promote CAP and to try to get some kids interested in joining.   Since every squadron is busy with their own activities, we realize it is difficult to gather everyone.  However,  this event has been a fun event for the cadets.  We start the day off with a cream puff eating contest and throughout the day, cadets are released in small groups to walk the fair grounds.  We have met many interesting people.  One year we had Gary Weitzel visit us.  Gary is one of Wisconsin living Medal of Honor recipient.  We even had Milwaukee Elvis join us in our booth one year.  One year one of my cadets beat a Marine in a push-up contest.

Your whole squadron is invited.  If your squadron cannot attend due to other activities, please extend this invite to the cadets not attending your activity.  The most used feedback is that there is too many activities going on and the squadron does not want to overburden the cadets. Still extend this activity to your cadets and let the cadet and their family decide if they would like to attend.

I will have up to 25 parking passes and entrance tickets; however, those in uniform will receive up to 4 FREE admissions (your family members can attend this event free).

Activities include:

Recruiting booth with ES equipment, STEM kits, AE activity and cadets promoting CAP.

Mini F16 on display

Meeting veterans and listening to their stories

Mingeling with other branches of the military

Rides are off limits

There will be a Veterans & Military Resource Expo for fair goers to learn and gather information regarding veterans and military services in Wisconsin,

Arrival time: 8:30 am to assist with setting up the displays

Activity runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (however, all can stay after if they wish or leave early)

Please contact me if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments.
